Undergraduate research is a hallmark of an Occidental education. The Undergraduate Research Center supports equitable and inclusive programs that foster students’ intellectual curiosity, autonomy, and responsibility, and that facilitate close faculty-student mentoring relationships.
Student Resources
- Project and Travel Funding is available across the College to support student research projects, including both travel to academic conferences and travel to research sites.Â
- Â鶹ƵµÀResearch Fellowships support sustained independent research mentored by Â鶹ƵµÀfaculty, including for Oxy’s nationally recognized Summer Research Program.

Faculty Resources
The URC also supports faculty mentoring through professional development opportunities, and supports faculty research and creative activity through the Student Research Assistantship program and with supplemental student funding for Faculty Sponsored Research.
